I can't says enough good things about how this business helped us on the MLK 3 day weekend. We live in Phoenix & had just arrived in SB about 5:30pm when our car started making a terrible noise. About 1 hour later the AAA tow truck driver told us it was probably the transmission & asked where to tow it. Being out-of-towers, we had no idea & picked Aamco because they have an office in Phoenix. Knowing the garage was closed at 7pm, I still called & Rudy Sanchez answered & agreed to wait for us. 45 minutes later we're finally there & he says if u want I'll try to find u a rental car. 3 calls later, he finds 1 at the airport. Next, he drove us to the airport. When he finally left us, it was 8:45pm even though his garage had closed at 6. By 4 the next day, the car which actually had a broken tie rod, not a bad transmission, was fixed. Talk about above & beyond service.
Want to receive honest and quick service? This is the place to go! Byron and Sam were polite and professional. My engine light was on, they checked it for free and here's the best part: they told me the truth and then charged me nothing! They could have told me anything, I know nothing about cars. I will definitely return to have my car serviced with them in the future. They do smog checks too!
I took my 1973 Jaguar E-Type (XKE) which was shifting rough and eratically to AAMCO. Needless to say with a car this old and rare i am VERY careful about who i have work on it. Rudy the Mgr was very friendly and helpful. He assured me he was able to work on the old school cars, which was believable because he had several old cars up on the racks when I pulled in. Rudy discovered a vacuum leak in my old Borg Warner tranny and fixed it the same day at minmal cost. Thanks!!
